Circular Silicon Europe GmbH is an active participant in LIFE SIRCULAR, an EU-funded project focused on industrial recycling solutions for silicon and silver from end-of-life photovoltaic panels. The project runs from 1 June 2025 to 31 May 2028 and brings together industrial and academic partners working on scalable recycling solutions for end-of-life PV materials.
Within the project framework, Circular Silicon contributes to the industrialisation of silicon recovery routes, including the optimisation of silicon laminate separation lines and the implementation of a silicon refining process at CSE premises. The project also aims to validate new industrial-scale recovery technology and improve the recovery of valuable materials from silicon-rich photovoltaic waste streams.
